Apply by June, 5th and showcase your contribution to the development of the Circular Economy across the Southern Mediterranean.
The #EyesOnLife contest has officially launched its call for applications, inviting changemakers, innovators, and civil society organisations from the Southern Mediterranean to showcase their contributions to a more sustainable future.
Organised under the umbrella of the European Union’s efforts to promote sustainable development and environmental resilience, this fourth edition of the contest is jointly organised by the EU Neighbours South programme, DG MENA, MedWaves (the UNEP/MAP Regional Activity Centre for Sustainable Consumption and Production), with the support of the European Training Foundation (ETF), SPARK, WES-BCA, Interreg NEXT MED and Expertise France.
At the heart of this edition is the Circular Economy, a key pillar of the European Green Deal and a powerful lever for addressing the three interlinked environmental crises of our time: climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss. The #EyesOnLife contest will award the best Circular Economy initiatives in Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, and Tunisia.
The contest is open to two main categories of applicants:
Prizes
One prize will be awarded for each main category (Businesses / CSOs):
An External Technical Assessment will be conducted by MedWaves to identify the most suitable consultancy services.
Timeline
April, 14th: Competition Opened
June, the 5th: Competition Closed
June, the 6th to end of July: Evaluation by the Jury
September: Popular voting through EU Neighbours South social media pages
November 20: Closing and Awards Ceremony
Jury
The Jury is composed of five experts, gender and geographically balanced who will be designated by the partners and announced through social media.
