05.06.2026 - 06.06.2026

The TRANSFORMED project holds its first Community Engagement Symposium in Limassol, Cyprus, on 5–6 June 2026, bringing together local authorities, civil society organisations, academics, and community representatives to explore participatory approaches to addressing social inclusion challenges across the Mediterranean.

The symposium focuses on strengthening inclusive governance by promoting local participation and enhancing collaboration between municipalities, civil society actors, and communities. Through interactive discussions and collaborative workshops, participants exchange experiences, identify local challenges, and explore practical solutions for designing more inclusive community-serving programmes.

Led by the Anna Lindh Foundation (Egypt) and organised by the Cypriot project partner Cultural Movement of Limassol EPILOGI, the event brings together project partners from Cyprus, Egypt, Greece, Italy, and Lebanon. The TRANSFORMED project has a total budget of €1.1 million and is co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme.

This two-day symposium marks the beginning of a series broader community engagement symposiums under the project, receiving orientation on the next steps of their engagement, future activities and the next Community Engagement Symposium, which will take place in Alexandria, Egypt, in July 2026.
