The Lebanese Solar Energy Society (LSES), a partner of the EU-funded CERES project, has launched a Request for Proposals (RFP) to select qualified experts and service providers for the delivery of Renewable Energy Training Services in Lebanon.

The selected experts will support the development of training materials and the delivery of specialised courses through the CERES Center of Excellence in Lebanon, helping professionals, entrepreneurs and organisations strengthen their technical skills in renewable energy and sustainable business development.

This call is part of the activities of CERES (Centers of Excellence for Resilient Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Solutions), a project co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme. CERES aims to enhance sustainable growth, competitiveness and job creation among Mediterranean SMEs by promoting new business models, training programmes and technology transfer mechanisms that accelerate the green and digital transition of local economies. This wording is aligned with the approved CERES Project description already used in Programme-level communication.

Building skills for the energy transition in Lebanon

Through this call, LSES seeks to involve competent professionals and organisations able to contribute to practical capacity-building in the renewable energy sector.

The training services will help reinforce the role of the Lebanese Center of Excellence as a hub for knowledge transfer, technical upskilling and cooperation between energy professionals, SMEs and local stakeholders.

Proposals may be submitted for one or more of the following training areas:

  • Renewable Energy Sources and Applications
  • Photovoltaic (PV) Systems and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
  • Solar Thermal Systems
  • Entrepreneurship in Renewable Energy
  • Energy and Carbon Markets

By supporting these training activities, CERES Project contributes to strengthening local expertise and promoting sustainable energy practices in Lebanon and across the Mediterranean region.

How to apply

Interested experts and service providers must review the RFP documents and submit their proposals according to the requirements described in the dossier.
