Join the STORM Technical Summit: Designing Pilots for Mediterranean Energy Solutions
22.05.2026 @09:30 - 14:30
22.05.2026 @ 09:30 - 14:30
On Friday, 22 May 2026, the STORM – Integrating Seasonal Thermal Energy Storage in the Mediterranean Region project will hold its first Technical Summit, titled “Designing STORM Pilots: From Mediterranean Potential to Real-World Solutions”, hosted by our partner the American University of Beirut – Mediterraneo in Pafos, Cyprus.
The Summit will bring together project partners, stakeholders, experts, and representatives from relevant institutions to exchange knowledge and explore how Seasonal Thermal Energy Storage (STES) can support more sustainable, energy-efficient heating and cooling solutions across the Mediterranean.
This first Technical Summit will focus on the design of STORM’s four pilots, planned in Beirut, Palermo, Ajloun, and Barcelona. These pilots will cover borehole and tank seasonal thermal energy storage technologies, helping demonstrate how STES solutions can be adapted to different Mediterranean contexts.
The event will also create space for dialogue with stakeholders working across energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainable buildings, research, policy, and Mediterranean cooperation, supporting STORM’s wider objective of advancing practical and replicable energy solutions for the region.
Participants are kindly invited to confirm their attendance by 18 May 2026 by scanning the QR code below and completing the RSVP form.
