The first online meeting with 23 rural tourism SMEs selected under the CReSInMed project was successfully held in Türkiye.

Following the open call carried out between 15 and 30 April 2026, 23 rural tourism SMEs operating along the Pamphylia–Pisidia Cultural Routes were selected to participate in CReSInMed activities. To officially launch their involvement in the project, an online introductory and information meeting was organised by the West Mediterranean Development Agency (BAKA), CReSInMed partner in Türkiye.

The selected enterprises represent five key sectors of the local rural tourism ecosystem: accommodation services, travel agencies, nature-based tourism operators, traditional handicraft businesses, and gastronomy and local production enterprises. By bringing together businesses from different sectors, the project aims to strengthen cooperation within the destination and support a more integrated and competitive rural tourism offer.

During the meeting, participants were introduced to the objectives of the CReSInMed project, its activity plan and the opportunities that will be available throughout the implementation period. The session provided an overview of the training programmes, mentoring activities, business development support and internationalisation actions designed to strengthen the competitiveness of rural tourism SMEs and enhance their access to new markets.

Participants also had the opportunity to learn more about their role within the project and the upcoming activities focused on capacity building, networking and transnational cooperation. These actions will help SMEs improve their skills, exchange experiences and establish valuable connections with businesses and stakeholders from across the Mediterranean region.
