As part of the ongoing implementation of the EUSEEDS project, the Jordan Youth Innovation Forum (JYIF) has conducted a series of field visits to the five Jordanian universities selected to participate in the initiative.
The visits aimed to strengthen collaboration with beneficiary universities, present the upcoming phases of the project, and discuss the establishment and development of dedicated Employability Centers on each campus. These centres will play a key role in enhancing students’ and young people’s employability by providing career guidance, practical training opportunities, digital skills development, and entrepreneurship support.
The five participating universities in Jordan are: Al al-Bayt University, Jordan University of Science and Technology, Al-Hussein Bin Talal University, The University of Jordan – Aqaba, and The Hashemite University.
Throughout the visits, JYIF representatives met with university leadership, and project focal points to assess institutional needs, identify available resources, and align priorities for the successful implementation of project activities.
Discussions also addressed the procurement of equipment, the delivery of upcoming training programmes, and the strategic role of the Employability Centers in fostering inclusive opportunities for students and local communities. By creating spaces dedicated to skills development, innovation, and career readiness, the centres will contribute to strengthening pathways towards employment and socio-economic inclusion.
These field visits mark an important milestone in the implementation of EUSEEDS in Jordan, laying the groundwork for stronger university-community engagement and sustainable support mechanisms for youth employability across the country.
