Dr. Raed Al-Azab, Chairman of the Deir Alla Municipality Committee, is actively supporting the implementation of SMARTMED initiatives in Deir Alla, contributing to the digital transformation of municipalities and the development of smarter, more sustainable communities.

As municipalities across the Mediterranean work to address growing environmental, social and technological challenges, digital innovation is becoming a key driver of sustainable local development. Through the SMART-MED-CITIES (SMARTMED) project, partners are collaborating to introduce smart city solutions that improve municipal services, strengthen citizen engagement and promote more resilient communities.

Dr. Raed Al-Azab is leading the implementation of SMARTMED activities in Deir Alla, supporting the municipality’s transition towards a smarter, more efficient and citizen-centred urban environment.

Driving the digital transformation of Deir Alla

As part of the SMART-MED-CITIES (SMARTMED) project, the Deir Alla pilot focuses on introducing innovative digital technologies that enhance the efficiency of municipal operations while improving the quality of services delivered to citizens.
