HorizonCraft is moving from the first preparatory phase towards a more operational stage, where the preliminary work carried out by the partnership becomes directly connected to opportunities for young people and MSMEs in Italy, Lebanon and Egypt.
The project was created to support youth employability through training, capacity-building, mentoring and transnational internships. At the same time, it aims to involve companies and business networks in a process that can help them connect with young talents, strengthen skills development and contribute to a more dynamic labour market in the Mediterranean area.
During the first months, the partnership worked on a general preparatory framework, the definition of common tools, the presentation of the project, the activation of partner channels and the first preliminary actions. These steps were necessary to create a shared basis and to make HorizonCraft recognizable among its different target groups.
The next phase will focus more directly on engagement. The preparatory activities have already started to introduce surveys, calls and opportunities for companies, while the project is preparing tools and pathways that will support the matching between hosting enterprises and trainees. This process is central to HorizonCraft, because the project is not only about informing people, but about creating concrete bridges between skills, expectations and labour market needs.
A key role will be played by the Euromed Internships Matching Platform, which will support the connection between young people and hosting companies. The platform will have an operational function, but also a wider value, because it will make one of the central mechanisms of HorizonCraft visible, accessible and structured.
Through training activities, company involvement and internship preparation, HorizonCraft will continue to build a pathway in which young people can strengthen their competences and enterprises can contribute to a shared Mediterranean learning environment. The work carried out by the project will accompany this process by providing clear information, promoting participation and showing how cooperation can become opportunity.
