SmartGreenEcos has been referenced in a new scientific preprint that examines how intelligent environments can support innovation performance in manufacturing ecosystems.

The preprint, authored by Professor Dr Nicos Komninos and currently under review for publication in the journal DIGITAL, is titled “Intelligent Environments in Manufacturing Ecosystems: Digital Platforms, Connected Intelligence, and Innovation Performance.” In the paper, SmartGreenEcos is presented as a case study of an intelligent environment designed to support collaboration, experimentation and innovation within an industry ecosystem.

According to the preprint, intelligent environments in manufacturing ecosystems can combine digital platforms, connected intelligence and collaborative structures in ways that strengthen innovation performance and support ecosystem development. In this context, SmartGreenEcos is discussed as an example relevant to these broader research and policy discussions.

This reference is important for the project because it shows that SmartGreenEcos is not only relevant as a practical initiative for SMEs, but is also being considered in a wider scientific context related to digital transformation, ecosystem-based innovation and intelligent environments in industry.

The preprint is already publicly available online, providing early access to the research while the paper remains under review:
