The CAREMED ProjectCommunity-based Approach for Resilient Mediterranean Health, co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme and led by the Meyer University Hospital – Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria Meyer, successfully held its 2nd Local Thematic Committee (LTC) Meeting on February 17, 2026 in Türkiye. The in-person event was hosted by our Turkish partner, the Izmir Provincial Directorate of Health.

The meeting focused on the operational roadmap for the Active Patient Care Model (APCM), set to be piloted in the Tire and Menemen districts. Participants discussed and finalized key aspects such as technical training schedules for healthcare professionals and the strategic timeline for field implementation.

With the active participation of local stakeholders, CAREMED continues to advance patient-centered, innovative solutions aimed at strengthening health system resilience across the Mediterranean region.
