The Lebanese Solar Energy Society (LSES), a partner of the EU-funded CERES project, has launched a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Architectural Design of an Integrated Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Structure in Lebanon.
The call aims to select an architectural concept for a centralised solar street lighting system, integrating photovoltaic technologies into a public space through innovative, functional and aesthetically coherent design solutions. The proposed design should ensure the seamless integration of solar PV systems while preserving and enhancing the social, urban and environmental value of the selected area.
The initiative is implemented within the framework of CERES (Centers of Excellence for Resilient Entrepreneurship and Sustainable Solutions), a project co-funded by the European Union under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme, which supports innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainable development across the Mediterranean region.
By launching this call, LSES contributes to the practical deployment of integrated renewable energy solutions, fostering collaboration between architecture, technology and urban development, in line with CERES objectives to support innovation ecosystems and real-life demonstration initiatives.
