The Audit Authority, assigned to the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, conducts system and project audits for Interreg NEXT MED. It operates independently of the Managing Authority and is supported by a Group of Auditors from each participating country.

The Joint Secretariat is a team of international experts responsible for supporting the Managing Authority in the implementation and monitoring of funded projects.
Two Branch Offices have been established to enhance proximity with local beneficiaries, supporting the Managing Authority in promoting Programme opportunities, organizing events and trainings, and monitoring funded operations.
