Universities selected under the EUSEEDS project took part in the first Quarterly Meeting, held nearly four months after their selection, to review project progress and prepare for the next implementation phases.
The meeting was divided into two main sessions. The first provided participating universities with an overview of activities already launched, key achievements to date, and upcoming milestones. Participants were updated on ongoing actions and the project roadmap for the coming months.
A major milestone has already been reached with the completion of the Skills Identification Study. The final results will be presented to partner universities at a later stage. The findings have already contributed to the refinement and enhancement of the future Training of Trainers (ToT) curricula in soft and digital skills, ensuring stronger alignment with labour market needs and beneficiary expectations.
In parallel, the assessment of equipment needs for the university centres has been completed. This will enable partner universities to establish fully equipped and operational centres by the end of the year.
Starting from the next academic year, beneficiaries will begin to benefit from the project’s activities. Training of Trainers programmes will be launched in September and will involve:
- More than 80 trainers of trainers in transversal skills;
- At least 60 trainers of trainers in digital skills;
- At least 40 trainers specialized in supporting and training vulnerable groups.
These activities represent a key step in the project’s implementation and will contribute to strengthening the capacities of partner universities while enhancing the employability of student beneficiaries across the region.
The second session focused on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) procedures. Data collection mechanisms, performance indicators, and the responsibilities of partner universities were presented in detail to ensure effective project monitoring and impact measurement. These processes will play a crucial role in assessing the outcomes of the project and its contribution to improving students’ skills and employability.
