EmpoweerNEET will launch its first training cycle in Palestine on 9 July 2026 at An-Najah Innovation Park. Fifty selected participants will begin a five-cycle programme that develops employability, entrepreneurship, and leadership skills.
An-Najah Innovation Park at An-Najah National University will launch the first EmpoweerNEET Training Cycle in Palestine. The programme will bring together 50 young people who are Not in Employment, Education, or Training (NEETs). This event marks the beginning of a five-cycle capacity-building programme that promotes employability and entrepreneurship.
First, the programme will begin with the Employability and Professional Readiness training cycle. Participants will strengthen their communication, teamwork, and career planning skills. In addition, they will learn how to identify professional opportunities and prepare for the labour market.
Moreover, trainers will use interactive activities, practical exercises, and career guidance sessions. As a result, participants will build confidence and improve their workplace readiness.
The EmpoweerNEET programme includes five connected learning cycles. Together, they cover employability, social entrepreneurship, business planning, financial literacy, digital skills, leadership, and transition pathways.
Furthermore, each cycle combines practical learning, mentoring, teamwork, and real-life exercises. Therefore, participants will develop the knowledge and skills they need to build sustainable careers and explore entrepreneurship opportunities.
The project selected 50 participants through a transparent recruitment process. Afterward, the project team applied clear eligibility and evaluation criteria to ensure equal opportunities.
At the same time, the programme supports young people who face barriers to employment, education, or training. Consequently, participants will gain the skills and confidence needed to enter the labour market and contribute to the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE).
Finally, the launch of the first EmpoweerNEET Training Cycle marks an important milestone for the project in Palestine. The programme will continue with four additional learning cycles over the coming months.
Meanwhile, participants will benefit from training, mentoring, and practical learning experiences that support their professional development and entrepreneurial ambitions.
EmpoweerNEET brings together partners from Palestine, Spain, Greece, Lebanon, Tunisia, and France. The project is co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg NEXT MED Programme. It promotes youth inclusion, employability, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development across the Mediterranean region.
