The position is hosted by the Agricultural University of Athens, a partner in the EONANOBIOPS project. The recruited researcher will join the project’s multidisciplinary team and contribute to research activities aimed at developing innovative, environmentally friendly crop protection solutions based on plant essential oils.
Research activities
The successful candidate will be involved in research activities focusing on:
- Plant production research supporting the development and evaluation of essential oil-based nano-biopesticides;
- Assessing the ecological impact of essential oils and nano-formulations on beneficial insects and other non-target organisms;
- Evaluating the efficacy, persistence, and safety of innovative nano-formulations for sustainable pest management;
- Contributing to the optimization of environmentally friendly crop protection solutions with reduced environmental impact.
Through these activities, the researchers will support the development of next-generation bio-based plant protection products that combine scientific innovation with environmental sustainability, helping reduce reliance on synthetic pesticides while promoting more resilient agricultural systems across the Mediterranean region.
