The Jordan Youth Innovation Forum (JYIF), implementing partner in the EUSEEDS Project, welcomed Pierre-Christophe Chatzisavas, Ambassador of the European Union to Jordan in its office in Amman, for a visit dedicated to youth empowerment, innovation, and the importance of strong partnerships in creating opportunities for young people.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity for dialogue with young participants engaged in JYIF initiatives and European Union-supported programmes, including the EUSEEDS project. Discussions focused on the role of EU-funded initiatives in equipping young people with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities needed to successfully transition into the labour market.
As part of the visit, the EUSEEDS project team presented the progress achieved since the project’s launch, highlighting key milestones and ongoing activities in Jordan. The discussion also explored the next implementation phases and the project’s growing impact on participating universities and the young people they serve.
In Jordan, the project is supporting the establishment and development of dedicated Employability Centers within five universities. These centres are designed to connect students and graduates with practical learning opportunities, career guidance, entrepreneurial support, and stronger links to the labour market.
The meeting also reaffirmed the importance of the continued partnership between the European Union and local stakeholders in advancing inclusive and sustainable development. By investing in higher education, skills development, and innovation, EUSEEDS contributes to creating an enabling environment where young people can develop their potential, access better employment opportunities, and play an active role in shaping the future of their communities.
