The TRANSFORMED project was in Alexandria (Egypt) on 1-2 Febuary 2026 to address social inclusion challenges through participatory tools.

The project focuses on strengthening inclusive governance models by promoting local participation and enhancing collaboration between municipalities and civil society actors across the Mediterranean.

Led by Anna Lindh Foundation (Egypt), the project brings together four partners: International Committee for the Development of Peoples (Italy), Cultural Movement of Limassol EPILOGI (Cyprus), Rene Moawad Foundation (Lebanon), and Youth Center of Epirus (Greece). The total budget is €1.1 million, with 89% co-funded by the European Union.

Over two days, partners engaged in collaborative and participatory exchanges, alongside in-depth discussions on people-centred approaches to social inclusion. The meeting laid the groundwork for a shared roadmap and outlined the next steps for implementation across Egypt, Italy, Cyprus, Lebanon, and Greece.
