The INNOVATILE project participated on April 28th in the fourth edition of the 4th Innovation Roadshow Tiles & Paints, organized by the global sustainability advisory firm Xynteo and the Build Ahead coalition. On that day, representing the project leader, Universitat Jaume I, Professor Maria José Orts presented the environmental and technical impacts of INNOVATILE to a select group of international innovators. The virtual presentation was aimed at decision-makers across the construction value chain in India, including major property developers, material producers, and investors, all focused on accelerating the adoption of low-carbon building materials to reduce embodied carbon in the built environment.
During the session, Orts gave a technical presentation highlighting their advances in semi-wet manufacturing processes and the integration of secondary raw materials in tile production, emphasizing the average energy savings of 20%, with a 25% reduction in water consumption or a 50% reduction in feldspar consumption.
