Applications are open for a six-month Interreg Volunteer Youth placement supporting MEDAIGENCY’s work on artificial intelligence and health emergency resilience in İzmir, Türkiye. The deadline to apply is 20 July 2026.
MEDAIGENCY’s Turkish partner, İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University, is seeking an Interreg Volunteer Youth—IVY—to join its team and contribute to the development of AI-powered solutions supporting health emergency preparedness, response, and recovery.
Starting in August 2026, the selected volunteer will spend six months working alongside the university’s project team in İzmir. The volunteer will support the development of an AI-based decision-support application for health emergencies, including user-interface design, data visualisation, functionality testing, and documentation.

The volunteer will receive financial support of €28.08 per day, including weekends and holidays. The IVY initiative also provides insurance coverage and a contribution towards eligible relocation travel costs.
