MATRIX presents circular solutions at the 1st Multi-Programme Projects’ Dialogue on Energy in Tunisia

The Centre de Recherches et des Technologies des Eaux (CERTE), partner and member of the MATRIX project consortium, actively participated in the 1st Multi-Programme Projects’ Dialogue on Energy, held in Tunisia. The event brought together researchers, project coordinators, industry representatives, and policymakers to exchange knowledge and discuss innovative solutions for the energy sector.

During Session 3, entitled “Innovation for Sustainable Mediterranean Systems: Cities, Circular Economy, Waste Governance and Coastal Transitions,” the discussion focused on presenting innovative solutions addressing sustainability, resource management, and ecosystems.

Professor Hanene Akrout delivered a presentation entitled “From Linear to Circular: Innovation for a Sustainable Mediterranean,” showcasing the MATRIX project, funded under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme.

Through technical sessions, panel discussions, and networking activities, CERTE engaged with experts from diverse disciplines, strengthening collaboration and knowledge exchange around current challenges and future opportunities related to sustainable Mediterranean systems.

MATRIX’s participation in this dialogue reflects its commitment to promoting interdisciplinary cooperation, supporting circular economy approaches, and contributing to the development of sustainable and efficient solutions at regional and international levels.
