A three-day programme in Barcelona will connect Mediterranean stakeholders, share sustainable practices and build new partnerships for a greener textile sector.
The MEDinCHAMBERS project is launching its Cross-border Bootcamp and Matchmaking Business Visits programme, a key initiative designed to accelerate the green transition across the Mediterranean textile, clothing, leather and footwear sector. Hosted by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Barcelona from 15 to 17 September 2026, the three-day programme will bring together representatives of Business Support Organisations (BSOs), local authorities and sector stakeholders.
The initiative aims to strengthen professional skills, encourage international cooperation and support the adoption of more sustainable, innovative and competitive business practices.
The MEDinCHAMBERS cross-border bootcamp will combine expert-led training sessions, interactive workshops and collaborative activities focused on the main environmental and economic challenges affecting the textile, clothing, leather and footwear sector.

Through practical exercises and peer-learning activities, participants will exchange knowledge, compare experiences and work together to develop solutions that can be adapted to different regional and organisational contexts. A key objective of the initiative is to strengthen cooperation between organisations operating in different Mediterranean regions. Dedicated matchmaking sessions will enable participants to meet potential partners, exchange expertise and identify opportunities for future collaboration. These activities are designed to support the development of new cross-border networks and encourage cooperation in areas such as innovation, knowledge transfer and the adoption of sustainable technologies. By bringing together Business Support Organisations, public authorities and sector stakeholders, MEDinCHAMBERS aims to create stronger connections between local ecosystems and promote a more coordinated approach to the green transition.
