This conference explores how ocean science and maritime innovation can more effectively inform European policies, competitiveness, and sustainability.
The Oceanography Center of the University of Cyprus participated in Riding the Wave Cyprus 2026, actively contributing to discussions on sustainable development and climate resilience in the Mediterranean region.
During the event, the Center presented the MedJICARP project (Interreg NEXT MED), highlighting its collaborative and innovative actions aimed at strengthening the protection and resilience of coastal and marine areas. The LIFE ADAPTS project (LIFE Program) was also showcased, emphasizing the importance of climate change adaptation and the enhancement of environmental governance.
The Center’s participation in Riding the Wave reflects its ongoing commitment to fostering transnational cooperation, advancing scientific knowledge, and supporting initiatives that contribute to a more sustainable and resilient future for the Mediterranean.
