MEDWISE Launches Activities in Lebanon Through National Roundtable on Greening the Dairy and Poultry Sectors
The Environment and Sustainable Development Unit (ESDU) within the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences (FAFS) at the American University of Beirut (AUB), organized a national roundtable discussion, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, titled “Greening the Dairy and Poultry Sectors” on May 6, 2026, at the Padova Hotel in Sin El Fil, Lebanon. Implemented under the Mediterranean Waste Innovations for Sustainable Environments (MEDWISE) project, which is funded by the Interreg NEXT MED Programme, the meeting marked the first MEDWISE activity officially implemented in Lebanon.

From 4 to 10 May, the BETA Technological Centre (UVic UCC) joined an initiative led by the Catalan Waste Agency (ARC) to offer a compost self-service point at the centre’s entrance in Vic, bringing organic waste and circularity messages closer to local residents.
