The RESWATER partners gathered in Archanes Municipality, Crete, Greece, on 13–14 May 2026 for the project’s 2nd Project Management Meeting and Steering Committee Meeting hosted by GWP-Med along with the coordination of the lead partner, the Energy and Water Agency. Beyond reviewing project deliverables and technical progress, the meeting served as an important opportunity to strengthen collaboration between partner countries and continue building the consortium’s shared vision for the project.
Over the two days, partners exchanged updates on the different work packages, including Non-Conventional Water Resource (NCWR) solutions, demonstration sites, Urban Water Management Plans, stakeholder engagement activities, and communication and dissemination actions. Discussions were open and practical, allowing partners to exchange ideas, discuss common challenges, and identify ways to further strengthen the implementation of the project moving forward.
Communication and dissemination activities under WP2 were also presented during the meeting, including the draft RESWATER leaflet, the draft animated introductory video, updates on the communication plan, and the recently launched social media channels for the project. Partners were encouraged to continue contributing articles, updates, and visual material to support the visibility of the project across the consortium.
One of the interactive moments of the meeting took place during the second day, when partners participated in a Mentimeter session organised to better understand the priorities, challenges, and expectations across the consortium. The exercise touched on topics ranging from reporting procedures and communication to environmental challenges linked to the project, while also giving partners the opportunity to share what they hope to achieve through RESWATER.
The consortium was also joined remotely by representatives from the Interreg Managing Authority, who provided feedback and guidance regarding the progress achieved so far and the continued implementation of the project.
The meeting concluded with discussions on the next steps and upcoming activities, setting a strong and collaborative pace for the future stages of the RESWATER project.
