The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change of Türkiye, partner of the SHAREN project, took part in an Interreg NEXT MED training event in İzmir, reinforcing its commitment to the effective implementation of programme-funded projects.

The SHAREN project – Energy-SHARing solutions and communities for enhanced energy efficiency in Mediterranean historic centres – has officially commenced following the celebration of its Kick-off Meeting in Valencia (Spain) on 11 and 12 November 2025. The event marked the formal start of a three-year initiative aiming to advance the energy transition in heritage urban areas across the Mediterranean.

The project partner EXACT (Egypt), launches a call for proposals to select a First Level Controller to provide expenditure verification services covering six (6) Expenditure Verification Reports (EVRs) over the 36-month implementation period of the CLUSTERATLAS4MED project.

This call for tenders aims to appoint an external financial auditor to audit all expenditures incurred by The Center for Social Innovation (Cyprus) under the EUSEEDS project. The audit will cover the full project implementation period and be conducted in accordance with the Interreg NEXT MED Programme’s established procedures.

The workshop witnessed wide participation from researchers and specialists of the National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries, in addition to researchers from Egyptian universities and relevant marine and environmental institutions.
