On 24 June 2026, the YIELD consortium convened its first major transnational stakeholder event -the Online Stakeholder Consultation- bringing together experts, researchers, business support organisations, policymakers and industry representatives from Greece, Italy, Jordan, Egypt and Palestine to review and provide feedback on the project’s two draft methodologies.
The event marked a pivotal moment in YIELD’s implementation: the point at which the methodologies developed by the consortium were opened to the wider ecosystem for validation before they are put into practice.
The session opened with brief introductions from all six consortium partners -the University of Ioannina (Lead Partner, Greece), KiNNO Innovation Intermediaries (Greece), the Jordan University of Science and Technology (Jordan), VITECO SRL (Italy), the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology -ASRT (Egypt), and Leaders International (Palestine). The presence of voices from across the EUROMED region was central to the event’s purpose: YIELD’s methodologies are designed to serve young entrepreneurs in five countries, and only stakeholders embedded in those ecosystems can judge whether they will work on the ground.
The discussion rounds were facilitated by Mr. Nasos Koskinas, CEO and co-founder of POS4work and the RE-STARTUP Patras incubator, whose experience supporting over 40 startups made him a fitting guide for a conversation about what young entrepreneurs truly need to succeed.
KiNNO Innovation Intermediaries, YIELD’s Innovation Partner, presented the two draft methodologies that will underpin all project support activities.
The first, the Entrepreneurship Acceleration Training Methodology, covers the structured programme designed for 50 selected teams across the five partner countries. Delivered through online webinars, one-to-one mentoring sessions and challenge-based technical workshops, it addresses five core areas: Business Model Canvas, Lean Startup and road-mapping, Leadership and Communication, Brand Creation, and Deep Tech and AI skills. Teams are grouped into ten challenge-based peer networks -one per identified BGCE challenge -to foster cross-border learning and collaboration.
The second, the Business Development Methodology, targets the 15 most promising teams selected after the first training round. It provides a more advanced suite of services: tailored business model development, Entrepreneurial Guidance Sessions with potential clients, suppliers and funders, individualised coaching on legal, financial and intellectual property matters, and the flagship Envoy Missions -two-week placements with established MSMEs in a different partner country, inspired by the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs initiative.
Rather than presenting the methodologies and moving on, the session was structured to alternate between presentation and discussion. After each methodology block, Mr. Koskinas opened a moderated discussion with a set of focused questions -on relevance, accessibility, the role of ecosystem intermediaries, the realism of envoy missions and the value of the transnational dimension compared to national schemes.
Stakeholders from all five countries contributed, offering perspectives shaped by their different regulatory environments, entrepreneurship ecosystems and experiences with young innovators.
The session closed with a live walkthrough of the structured feedback form, distributed to all participants immediately after the event.
