The EmpoweerNEET youth training programme has reached an important milestone as partners validated the WP3 curriculum during an online workshop held on 28 April 2026. This step strengthens the project’s efforts to support young people Not in Employment, Education, or Training (NEETs) across the Mediterranean region.

The EmpoweerNEET youth training curriculum builds on a transnational needs assessment that identified key challenges, including skills gaps, limited access to opportunities, and low self-confidence. Therefore, the programme focuses on developing practical skills in employability, social entrepreneurship, digital competencies, and leadership.

Moreover, the curriculum introduces a structured yet flexible learning pathway. It combines online and face-to-face training to ensure accessibility and engagement. As a result, participants will gain hands-on experience and develop concrete outputs such as CVs, business ideas, and personal action plans.

During the validation workshop, partners confirmed that the curriculum responds well to local needs while maintaining a strong common framework. In addition, they agreed on final adjustments to improve delivery and maximise impact across partner countries.

Furthermore, the programme promotes inclusive and sustainable solutions through the Social and Solidarity Economy. This approach supports young people in building pathways toward employment or launching their own initiatives.

With the EmpoweerNEET youth training curriculum now validated, the project moves closer to implementation. The next phase will focus on delivering high-quality training opportunities and supporting NEETs in their transition to the labour market.
