The SHARE4MED project was at the European Parliament in Brussels for the event “Mediterranean Pact, From Territories to Cities – The Shared Transition Agenda” contributing to discussions on cooperation and sustainable development across the Mediterranean.

It was an opportunity to showcase the involvement of Algerian partners in 2 Interreg NEXT MED funded projects: SHARE4MED and GREENMEDPORTS and promoting coastal governance as well as youth participation

The Municipality of Genova, a major Mediterranean port city and early signatory of the EU Mission “Restore our Oceans and Waters". Through territorial analysis and pilot implementation, it advances sustainable coastal governance and Mediterranean cooperation.

La Saison Bleue promotes Tunisian coastal protection and marine awareness, supporting community engagement, sustainable development, and the implementation of SHARE4MED project activities.

The University of Science and Technology Oran Mohamed Boudiaf (USTO) in Oran will support the shared agenda, pilot actions on coastal habitat restoration, and act as a key interface with Algerian municipalities and local authorities.

ETT S.p.A., Lead Partner of SHARE4MED, coordinates the project and leads the development of the Governance Dashboard to monitor actions for the protection of Mediterranean coastal areas.

From institutional capacity building to data-driven governance, the initiative promotes sustainable coastal and maritime management aligned with the EU Mission Restore our Oceans and Waters by 2030. The projects early actions also include international dialogue and synergies with GREENMEDPORTS, reinforcing a collaborative and integrated approach to Mediterranean sustainability.

SHARE4MED joined Sun&Blue Congress 2025 in Almería, Spain engaging with European institutions and stakeholders to advance sustainable blue tourism, coastal governance, and cross-border cooperation across the Mediterranean.
