The International Center for Water, Environment and Energy Research at Al-Balqa Applied University conducted a specialized workshop titled “Rainwater Harvesting and Greywater Systems”, held on 23 December 2025 in Irbid, Jordan with the participation of 50 attendees from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and organizations related to the water and environmental sectors.

The SPEEDUP Project participated in the national workshop titled “The Role of Universities in Enhancing Community Engagement in the Eastern Mediterranean and North Africa”, held on 26 November 2025 in Amman, Jordan, with the participation of 35 attendees.

Patras Science Park (PSP) participated in the Development Forum 2025 on 23 November 2025, where it had the opportunity to present the novel SPEEDUP acceleration network to the aviation startups and SMEs in Western Greece.

Al-Balqa Applied University, the partner in the EU-funded SPEEDUP Project under the Interreg NEXT MED Programme, is seeking an External Auditor to deliver all audit requirements for the project. This includes six biannual expenditure verifications, reports, and compliance reviews aligned with program guidelines.

A new ambitious project, aimed at accelerating the development of start-ups and innovative SMEs, held its inaugural meeting at the Patras Science Park facilities, on November 3 and 4, 2025. 7 partners from 7 Mediterranean countries will collaborate to create an interregional network of hubs for supporting start-ups and innovative SMEs, with an emphasis on specific target groups.
