STORM partners conducted on-site energy baseline measurements at the Ajloun Forest Reserve pilot in Jordan, collecting U-values, thermal imaging data, and electricity consumption readings to design an evidence-based seasonal thermal energy storage system for 38 eco-cabins.

At the Interreg NEXT MED Launch Event in Lebanon, STORM demonstrated how seasonal thermal energy storage can reduce fossil fuel dependence in buildings across the Mediterranean. Represented by Prof. Shadi Najjar (AUB), the project highlighted scalable solutions that turn abundant solar energy into year-round heating and cooling.

STORM participated alongside the Interreg NEXT MED in the 3rd Edition of MED Talks, contributing to discussions on energy transition and green living areas in the Mediterranean.

The STORM project took part in the 5th Gathering of the World Energy Council (WEC) Lebanon Committee, held on 11 December 2025 at the Phoenicia Beirut Hotel, bringing together leading energy experts, policymakers, researchers, and private sector representatives to discuss the future of sustainable energy in Lebanon and the region.
